From Armada Forums: Polgara's Guide to Girls (According to the signs)

Disclaimer: While most of the traits listed under each sign may be shown by all women in general, I chose those traits that are dominent for each sign. These are based on my previous readings, experiences, and people that i met and interacted with so far. While my writings may have been influenced by the late great astrologer, Linda Goodman, most ideas and examples cited are mine.

Aries Girl (March 21 - April 20) - The Dominatrix

This girl will always want you to ask her opinion before making decisions. She’s women’s liberation in the flesh. The fastest way to get her to be interested with you is if you express interest in her. In starting a conversation, you must always start by giving a very brief introduction of yourself and then proceed asking her about what she does or what she likes to do. She prefers to talk about herself, but she expects you to listen. She may get impatient when you can’t make a decision where you want to go during a date. Secretly, she might like making the decision, but she will resent you that you didn’t make it sooner and wasted (her) time.

Taurus Girl (April 21 - May 21) The Homie girl

This girl starts smiling genuinely when you start talking about your family and bring up sentimental stories of your childhood. She loves looking at family pictures and will be very flattered when you invite her to dinner with your family. This girl will eat with gusto with you. She will not pretend to be demure or delicate in front of good food. She will not get angry easily and loves a practical joke. In her mind, she fits in easily with your family or anywhere you might take her, for that matter. She likes being introduced to your friends and being treated as a part of the barkada immediately. She’s grounded enough to know her limitations and tends to stay within her circle of comfort. When you take her somewhere out of her comfort zone, she becomes conscious, defensive and uncomfortable with herself... as she usually does when faced with situations or environments where in she does not “belong”.

Polgara’s QuickTip: It will be nice for you to bring this girl to smorgasbords and eat-all-you-can restaurants. You will get your money’s worth as well as pogi points on taste. Just be sure that it’s a nice relaxing place na comfortable yung chairs. Itong girl na ito mas gusto ung kabagay nya na lalake. She feels very hurt when she’s “OP” in a group.

Gemini Girl (May 22 - June 21) The Changing Winds

She adapts to changes faster than most people. She embraces change and hates permanence. Example, she is no longer a student, she graduated and found a new job. She happened to find a work where the culture is different from that she’s used to. You should expect that she will show those changes to you and therefore, cause concern on your part. Don’t worry, she is still the girl you fell in love with and who loves you. Just try your best to adjust to the “new her”, everytime she chooses to change. If you refuse to change with her, and you stubbornly cling to your old beliefs and environment, she will just keep on changing and changing up to a point that she will no longer see you as a part of her life. No amount of nagging and resentment on your part will change her back, if she's set on self-improvement and development.

Cancer Girl (June 22 - July 22) The Sentimental Sister

This girl will keep your letters close to her bedside so she may read them over and over. She laughs easily and infectiously, so your corny jokes will be gratified with sincere laughter, even if she is in fact laughing at you. She might be vague about certain things and often forget several minor details. However, she will not forget your anniversary/monthsary so you shouldn’t, too. Flowers mean more to this girl than those under other birth signs. Beware of moods that swing from looney to sulking in the extreme. She's touchy-feely and won't mind a lot of PDA. Crowds are ok, but what she really wants is to snuggle with you someplace quiet and whisper sweet nothings to each other. She might balk a little when you give even a slight indication that you're broke during your date and that you really cannot afford a sunset-view dinner at a plush hotel's rooftop for now. When talks of money come in, she's still cool and sweet, but you can almost hear the "cha-ching" of cash registers inside her brain.

Leo Girl (July 23 -August 21) Her Royalty, The Queen

This girl is a lioness, for sure. She expects to be treated royally. From the best hair-do’s to the best phone accessories, she just won’t settle for anything less. Like the male counterpart, this girl is absolutely 100% high-maintenance. But in exchange for all the lavish gifts she expects, she will be the Queen you will want all your friends to meet. She is deliciously submissive as long as all her criteria are met. In any group situation, she will be the one holding her head high, and even if she’s wearing something very simple like a pair of jeans and a t-shirt, she’s a stand out because of her queenly bearing (and her branded bag). She doesnt mind if the place you're taking her is not romantic in the least (e.g. ATC or Rustans) as long as it doesnt mean mingling with those she thinks are less than her. She does not like strangers who approach her out of the blue and start getting familiar (i.e. feeling close) with her. No one cuts a fresh remark with bristling sarcasm like this girl.

Make sure din na kasama sya sa mga parties mo, kahit simpleng inuman lang sa bahay, because she can host it like she would a 200-people soiree, with grace and elegance. Yung mga bisita mo feeling nila nasa exclusive party sila sa galing nyang mag-asikaso ng bisita. Pero pag presko ang dating mo, tingin pa lang nya para ka nang tinampal.

Virgo Girl (August 22 - September 23) Miss Manners

This girl seems shy and overly conscious of her appearance. She’s timid at first then gently opens up to close friends. She hates latecomers and is punctual to a fault. She doesn’t like to impose on people, and will always ask very politely if she needs something. Her major turn-ons are intelligent conversation and street-smartness in a guy. She abhors guys who seem to spend too much on useless things. She will be happier to receive gifts that she can use than those that look nice but impractical. She feels uneasy around boisterous and tactless people, because they are her exact opposites. She feels flustered when caught doing improper things or thinking malicious thoughts, And, she will deftly change the subject when the topics seem inappropriate for decent people. She also feels the compulsion to prepare the exact amount when paying fare in the jeepney or anywhere, just because she doesnt want to inconvenience herself or the other party. She's casual and practical to a fault.

So careful lang when taking her out, even if she goes “all the way" with you in your date, don’t make the mistake of implying that she’s easy-to-get kahit pabiro. Masasaktan sya at ibe-break ka niya kasi sa isip nya, you’re treating her like a S-L-U-T.

Libra Girl (September 24 - October 23) The Witty Witch

She can dish out remarks that everyone eats up. Her comments are valued as they provide several sides to an issue. Her conversation is as priceless as her smile. She can definitely get any conversation going with a guy, and her intelligence makes even the most chauvinistic of the males feel spellbound. This girl is incredibly supportive of her boyfriend, and will point out mistakes and loopholes gently… in a way that the guy will think “why didn’t I think of that?” and not get offended. Punctuality is not her strongest point, but her smile and very reasonable excuse will make your impatience dissipate into thin air… those, and her impeccable choice of date-clothes and accessories that you notice at once when she arrives.

Polgara’s Quick Tip: This girl likes to take a nap. Most Librans need naps as other people may need merienda in the afternoon. So if she says, “idlip ako ha”, she probably means it. The worst thing you can do is deprive her of this nap by being pilyo. That’s the fastest way to get her cranky.

Scorpio Girl (October 24 - November 22) The Seeress

There’s no use lying to this girl, as she is like a walking lie-detector test to any guy she’s in love with. You may think she’s overly paranoid or jealous, but truth is, she loves you so much that being disloyal to her (even in small things) cause her physical pain. She is the girl who will leave everything behind to be with you, even if it means hardships and suffering on her part. The hardest thing for her to do is leave you, and everything else is secondary and relatively easy for her to do. This much intensity in love and fidelity may scare some guys away, but that guy who is secure enough to let her love him the only way she knows how will reap the fruits of everlasting loyalty. And yes, only girls under this sign have the ability to kill for the one they love.

Sagittarius Girl (November 23 - December 22) The Optimistic Prankster

This girl will generally always look at the bright side of things. She will believe in you and you will be her champion. She’s also the girl to bring when you’re going to rowdy parties because she fits right in. She’s a jokester who will not humiliate you in front of your friends by being offended by pranks. She’s sunshine personified when you’re together, never a dull moment. She may sometimes choose her career over you, but she’s always sure that you will understand. Her exuberance is never-ending and her excitement infectious. The only way to wipe that excited smile off her face is when you point out her flaws… those that she conveniently ignores. Even so, her smile comes back brightly and optimistically thinks that you’re just joking.

Pero pikon sya pag seryosong usapan, tapos brining-up mo ung mga faults or pagkukulang nya. Isa-isa nyang ide-deny yung mga yun… worse, magagalit sya sa yo at pwede ka pang kasuhan ng libel.

Capricorn Girl (December 23 - January 20) Miss No-Nonsense

This girl probably has the highest standards among all the Signs. She might not tell you directly, but she secretly takes note of things that you tell her on where you studied, what your parents do for a living, what you do for a living, and what your plans are for the future. While she’s cordial to everyone, she will veer away from slackers, and those who she (according to her standards) sees as losers. As a girlfriend, she seems strict and uncompromising. But considering her meticulous insistence that you eat on time, always take your vitamins and fussing about your over-all hygiene and appearance…. you just know that she loves you, even if she shows it more through actions than words. She's also very protective and proud of her family. If her BF makes her choose between him or her family, chances are, any hopes of a lasting relationship is gone. She will stick by her family through thick or thin. Having this girl for a GF or wife will mean loving and living with in-laws for the rest of your life, even if they're as bearable as the fires of hell.

Polgara’s Quick Tip: She is mom. Maasikaso, ma-kalinga, maalaga…. pero napaka-strikto. Like you would do to your mom, remind her every once in a while to relax and take a break. Give her a back massage to relieve her tension. Also, when you meet her family for the first time, make sure you say something nice about her dad or her brother (kahit na nangingilabot ka sa angas ng bro nya or sa pagka-mataasin ng dad nya).

Aquarius Girl (January 21 - February 19) Best Friend

At first you can’t believe how this bright-eyed, smart girl noticed you. Simple. She’s very curious about you. In her mind, she wants to know all about you, how you think, how you function, what makes you laugh… the list goes on. She is unbelievably tolerant to your faults and doesn’t expect you to go out of your way to impress her. She loves you for YOU. Finally!!! Here’s a girl who understands you, and who acts like a true friend. But wait…. while she gives you freedom to do your thing, she gives a brief nod and a vague comment whenever you try to restrict her in any way. The thing is, she keeps you on a long leash, and she expects you to afford her the same treatment. If there’s one thing that she loves more than you, it’s her freedom to think and do as she likes. Pisces Girl (February 20- March 20) Your GradeSchool Valentine

This is the most feminine of the signs. The term girly-girl applies to Pisces girls anywhere. However, the Pisces girl you meet now may not be the same one you get to know after a few months of friendship. Why? This is because a Pisces girl will always put up a defense-wall first before she shows you her true colors… only when she’s convinced that she can trust you with her true personality. She will deliberately mislead you into thinking that she’s tough and nasty, when the truth is she’s very emotional and sympathetic. She has a tendency to put a guy in a pedestal and call him her hero. She’s your personal fan club who will prod you gently, never demanding much, until you reach your true potential. She will always see beauty, potential and goodness, even in those that people regard as hopeless cases. In fact, the girl who fell in love with the barkada’s “outcast” or “loser” may be a Pisces girl. She will nurture the guy’s bruised ego until he gains confidence enough to strike back at his attackers… then, she will stand by the sidelines and cheer him all the way.

So that you get confused as to where that sensitive, sympathetic girl went… and who is this B!tch who took her place?
